On Tuesday night, more than 250 people filled the newly opened Massachusetts Democratic Party office in Brockton at 749 Belmont Street.

After Elizabeth spoke and answered questions about Social Security, veterans’ issues, student loans and foreclosure, she stayed to chat with attendees of the event. Supporters then had a chance to sign up for upcoming events and to staff the office between now and Election Day.

Currently leading the volunteer effort in Plymouth County is Allyne Pecevich, who has lived in Brockton for 48 years and has been involved in politics as a volunteer for more than 30 years. She’s such a fixture that another volunteer, Don Karp said, “You can’t get elected in Plymouth County without Allyne.”
