“There is a lot we could do to make our kids safer, but putting guns in the hands of every teacher is not one of those things,” Ms. Warren said in an interview. “Right now, too many people in Congress dance to the NRA’s tune. And that means we don’t even get a vote on ways to make our kids safer from gun violence.”
Ms. Warren, who is up for reelection in November, will be in Holden Sunday for a town hall meeting. The event is at noon at Wachusett Regional High School, 1401 Main St. Doors open at 11 a.m. Ms. Warren said she loves the town halls because they give her an opportunity to hear from people across the commonwealth about issues they face.
